Founded in 1968, the Hull & Barnsley Railway Stock Fund maintains the surviving examples of rolling stock of the former Hull & Barnsley Railway Company.

The last Hull & Barnsley Railway locomotive was scrapped by British Railways in 1956, and so only rolling stock now remains. Our three coaches, two wagons and a tool van are located at Goathland on the North York Moors Railway, and working parties are arranged to help with restoration.

The Stock Fund possess a varied collection of photographs of the line from 1885 to present day. We wish to locate artefacts and ephemera of the Hull & Barnsley Railway to add to our knowledge of the line and its operation, and make this information available to students of railway history. If you can help, please get in touch!
